Wired Kayaker is hiding in Plain Sight
Looking at the new TV show, In Plain Sight it premieres on USA Network this Sunday June 1 at 10:00pm, don't miss it, I got to thinking about where I would like to live if I was in the Witness Protection Program. At first I thought that hey, I'm the Wired Kayaker I'd head to someplace warm so I could kayak all year round. I thought about Miami and Key West but those places are nuts and I just couldn't live there full time at all.
I've had the opportunity to travel all over the country and see many places. There are very few that I would ever consider moving to. But if I had to move to a particular city in the US I would most likely move to Ashland Oregon.
Not only is downtown Ashland like Small Town USA it is also home to an amazing variety of restaurants. I'd be close to tons of recreation areas like Crater Lake and I am sure I'd get a ton of kayaking done in that area. Ashland is also one of the places that I've always wanted to go back to for a vacation so I could go on a motorcycle trip with my Dad.
If I had to move there for the Witness Protection Program I'd probably have to change a bunch of things about my life so I'd ditch the Honda Civic and get myself a Harley. I guess I will learn more about the Witness Protection Program when I watch USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight on Sunday night. If the show is half as good as USA Network's show Burn Notice I'm really going to enjoy it.
In Plain Sight is a show about Mary Shannon and Marshall Mann they are U.S. Marshals who protect witnesses and help them set up their new lives in the Witness Protection Program in New Mexico. Already I can see that the show has humor, action and heart. The characters are very cool as well. Characters are what make or break a show, if you don't care about them then you won't care about the show at all. I have a feeling that you will certainly care about the characters of In Plain Sight.

Haha!! yES, A WARM PLACE WOULD BE AMAZING TO LIVE IF YOU were a kyaker.i'd personally would pick some place cold
I'd do so much more kayaking if I wasn't faced with crap weather 3/4 of the year.
Take for example Norway, nice rivers, falls not too dangerous, and so nice, but cold, at this point the water is about 5 celsius
Sadly all I know about Norway comes from the Malestrom ride at Epcot.
We've got plenty of water in IL this year, in fact way too much. You can kayak in places that haven't seen water in years. Nothing like paddling across a football field.
Chris,
Man that sucks. I hope you dry out soon. But that might be interesting to kayak across a football field.
hmm....We are now having the most crap weather.
Sorry to hear that you are having such bad weather. I hope it gets better soon.
